This is a Lorillard ad from 1952 for Kent
cigarettes with "the Exclusive Micronite Filter."
This filter was made of asbestos, which led to the
recent sucessful lawsuit by a person who came down with mesothelioma, a
unique form of cancer caused almost exclusively by exposure to asbestos.
